Dr. Daniel “Chris” Allison, MD FACS – CEO/Chairman. Dr. Daniel C. Allison currently serves as CEO of NanoCrystal MedTech, Inc., a majorily-owned JV company with NanoCrystal Composites Inc., focused on biomedical material formulation and medical device development. Dr. Allison is an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced musculoskeletal surgical reconstruction. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Assistant Director of Orthopedic Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Southern California, and Co-Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). Dr. Allison also serves as Chief Medical Officer of a med-tech startup company and consultant/designer for orthopedic implant companies, with 7 orthopedic implant systems completed or in development. For more than 15 years, Dr. Allison has been the senior surgical advisor and international key opinion leader (KOL) for Carbo-Fix Ltd., which manufactures carbon fiber + PEEK implants for human skeletal fixation and is the only FDA approved manufacturer of its kind. Along with Gregory Hairston, Dr. Allison developed the U.S. distribution network for Carbo-Fix, enabling it to become the clear world leader in this field. Dr. Allison has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has given hundreds of lectures on the topic of advanced orthopedic surgical reconstruction. Dr. Allison received his medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine and an MBA from Rice University’s Jones School. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at USC Los Angeles General Medical Center, where he also underwent fellowship in musculoskeletal surgical oncology and pelvic reconstruction of Business and continues to serve as Commander in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy reserves, having served a tour with a expeditionary combat medical unit in Iraq in 2018 as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Greg Hairston – President. Greg Hairston is a visionary leader who brings 20+ years of experience in technology commercialization, IP development, and capital raising. He has spearheaded transformative initiatives, including the establishment of Centers of Excellence for medical teaching and training programs, STEM incubators to attract global talent, and interdisciplinary teams comprising physicians, engineers, and researchers. Greg has led national clinical studies and trials in both the public and private healthcare sectors, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. His efforts emphasize value-based care, workforce development, sustainability and innovative design. As a pioneering founder of physician-owned alternative medicine research centers, Mr. Hairston delivered affordable, plant-based cannaceuticals under the Alternative Pain Act in collaboration with the FDA and NIH. His portfolio includes consulting and partnerships across healthcare, energy, metadata, infrastructure, and military sectors. Mr. Hairston is a double-major graduate from Stanford University, holding B.A.s in Economics and Psychology
Roger Spillmann – Director - With 30+ years of driving business growth, 18+ years of C-Suite experience, 8+ years of investment banking, asset management and corporate finance; and 4 years of corporate law firm experience, Roger brings a unique blend of proven leadership, skill and expertise to NCC. He has extensive experience in defense-related technology research and product development, expertly navigating complex frameworks and regulations. Mr. Spillmann is highly proficient in corporate governance, financial reporting, JV formation, licensing, product development, and sales/marketing. He has served as a Sr. Advisor, Board Member and acting CFO for leading companies in the areas of material science, energy storage; defense; digital infrastructure; ag-tech; pharmaceuticals and health sciences - giving him unique insight to a wide range of industries. Roger has a dual BA/BS at Dartmouth College with extra-graduate studies in capital strategy, corporate law and governance, regulatory compliance, human resources, KPI analytics, IP management, government contracting, tax credits, and ESG policies. He proudly serves as Director of Family First Foundation, a 501(c)(3) which promotes college accessibility for disadvantaged youth in under-served communities in the Los Angeles area.
